After seeing your profile featured today on Elle's Studio I just had to come over and check out your blog. So glad I did because it's truly inspiring...Happy to be following your blog now, too! Have a great Super Bowl Sunday!!!

Oh, and I live in Texas right in the mix of Super Bowl so my son and I went to downtown Fort Worth today and ate yummy pizza at Unos! I think my hubby will b firing up the grill later tonight!

Congrats Nitasha! E-mail me at  chapinjennifer(at)yahoo(dot)com with your address and I'll get your kit out to you.

First up, please take a look at this gorgeous photo:

o.m.g. Someone make that for me quick! I consider myself a pretty experienced baker....but I think those rosettes are a little beyond my expertise level. Honestly this cake is so beautiful I could sit and look at this photo for hours. Recipe and photo from Sugarcrafter

This week's menu:

Sunday: Marinara with Italian sausage and peppers over rigatoni, garlic bread and grapes
Monday: Honey Dijon chicken, white and wild rice, steamed broccoli (this was DELISH!)
Tuesday: Cheeseburgers, carrot sticks, cottage cheese and pears
Wednesday: Beef enchiladas, refried beans, chips and salsa
Thursday: Cheeseburger macaroni, green beans and apple slices
Friday: Pizza!

We also made oatmeal raisin cookies this past weekend. Try this recipe -- they are sooo good.

Oh, and I think Keira and I are going to make heart shaped cookies for Valentines day on Saturday. I need to dig up the recipe for that and post it too. I like my sugar cookies nice and thick and soft. Mmm.
And I'm thinking about asking my mom and sister over for lunch to make this:

Lemon chicken, people. It is one of my favorite dishes and instantly transports me back to my childhood. My mom used to make it for us. Yum. There is really not a recipe, just a method, but I may have to develop one so I can share the goodness with all of you. :)
