Happy Sunday to you....and happy 3 day weekend to those who get one! I get a 4 day weekend....not complaining about that ;)

Wanted to share a layout that I did a few weeks ago at a crop.

I used mostly Pink Paislee hometown summer - with a little Echo Park and Jillibean thrown in.

I hand-cut the sun, then stitched down the edges. Love how this one turned out! ;)

Off to fix dinner. Have a great night!

ps - I'm highly irritated with blogger tonight....have been ever since the crash a few weeks back. Having trouble uploading photos and such. Do you use wordpress or typepad? Like it better? Have to pay for it? opinions please :)

{just for fun}

Got to finish up a 'just for fun' layout last night - not for any assignment, just wanted to scrap these funny pics of my Keira.

For this page, I mostly used the new Dots & Stripes by Echo Park, with a few KI Memories puffies.

Keira got these sunglasses in her easter basket and this photo was too funny not to scrap ;) Of course later on she discarded them on the kitchen floor and they got stepped on and broken.....but anyway, they were fun while they lasted!

{more elle's projects!}

I wanted to pop in this evening and share my other two layouts for the Elle's Studio Inspiration gallery this month.

An 8.5 x 11 layout, can you believe it?!

Not sure if I'm a convert to this size quite yet....but it was fun to try something different ;)

Totally love this photo and wanted to scrap it... Handmade Layers tags + some of the new Pink Paislee seemed perfect!

Thanks for stopping busy Memorial Day weekend coming up and lots of fun plans. Hopefully a little scrapping is in order as well ;)

{sketch 239}

Time for another sketch at Pencil Lines!

Here's my take:

I chose a few photos from Keira's birthday party and paired them with the Crate Paper chipboard horse sticker - too perfect ;)

Patterned papers by Pretty Little Studio and The Girl's Paperie.

Elle's Studio tag, along with a star embellishment from The Girl's Paperie. Chipboard '2' is from October Afternoon's 5&Dime line.

3 things I can't wait to get in the mail this week:

This kit. Get it while they're hot!

This line.

And this line. Available here.

{may elle's projects}

Good Sunday evening to you! It's especially good for me because we're home today after a looong weekend at a family reunion - my husband's side - sort of one of those things you have to go to but you'd much rather be doing something else... ;)  Oh and it's SUPER fun to travel & stay in a hotel with a 2 year old too - yay! ;)

I thought I would share with you quick tonight one of my May projects for Elle's Studio. This one uses strictly the new Handmade Layers collection.

Corrugated butterfly die cuts are by Jillibean soup - I also used some kraft paper sacks & doilies I picked up at Michael's and have been stashing for awhile.

Thank you for your visit - I need to go finish up folding and putting away laundry to get ready for the new week. Good night!

{may theme assignment for gcd studios}

Good morning! Today I'm sharing my first assignment for GCD Studios with you - a Mother's Day inspired layout. Our theme assignment for May was 'Mother's Day', and instead of creating a layout about my own mother, I decided to do one about myself and becoming a mother.

On this layout, I used a combination of Animal Crackers for boys and Animal Crackers for girls. Isn't that crepe ribbon just awesome? It's from the Fun House line and comes with a bunch of other fun trims as well.

I used my sewing machine for a little extra something under the title.

I finished the layout by adding some punched scallop borders and a few splatters of white paint. One of our assignments for this layout as well was to really keep it simple and keep the purpose of our layout in mind. I just used a few simple embellishments and I really love the feel and colors of it and how it turned out.

Check out the GCD blog to see the other DT member's projects - they are fabulous!

Thanks for stopping by! More fun things coming from GCD once we get into the swing of things and start sharing our monthly blog posts :) Have a great rest of your weekend!

{i sort of love echo park}

Actually I really love Echo Park. So what am I to do when they post that they are having a monthly design team call? Um, go for it! :)

For this layout, I pulled out 'For the Record' - definitely one of my faves. Vintage but bright, I love it.

For the title on this page, I die cut a few circles from corrugated cardboard and stitched them together after sponging the edges with white paint. I used Thickers over top and I love the effect!

I also made a card with some of the leftovers from my layout and other stickers from the kit.

Next up a layout with 'Summer Days'. Love this line and the chipboard embellishments that go with!

I love the new letter stickers in the Dots & Strips line! I picked up both sheets, one has white letters and the other black.

Here's a tag I made with some of the Summer Days patterned paper, chipboard & new Dots & Stripes collection.  Love love love polka dotted paper, I got just about every color my LSS had ;)

Another layout with mostly Summer Days, with a little Dots & Stripes thrown in - for my daughter's 2nd birthday ;)

There you have it! Thanks for the chance at designing with some awesome products, Echo Park. Good luck to everyone!

{lots going on at elle's studio!}

If you haven't heard already, it's time again for another design team call at Elle's Studio! If you are thinking about going for it, I would encourage you to go for it! Even if you applied last time and didn't make it on the team.... try again. It took me two tries! :) Elle is fantastic to work with and as you know, the products are fabulous as well :) Applications are due May 25th so get on it!

Elle also made another exciting announcement this week, she will be offering project kits with exclusive tags! The first kit goes on sale May 23rd, and everyone that orders will also be entered to win an Instax stuff! Personally I can't wait to see the first kit and get my hot little hands on it :)

That's all for today, have a good one!
