Christmas is definitely one of my favorite times of year to photograph.

35mm lens, f2.8, ISO500, 1/125

The other day my daughter (4) and I made some sugar cookies. I was not feeling too domestic at the moment so we used some storebought dough. I basically let her do everything so we ended up with some really sprinkled cookies and I wanted to capture that close up.

35mm, f3.5, ISO500, 1/40

I love taking detail shots of ornaments on the tree. This is my son's keepsake ornament this year.

35mm, f4, ISO900, 1/30

I wanted to get some closeups of my son (16 mos) with the Christmas lights. I did this early in the morning when there wasn't much actual light so I could get that nice glow. I snapped away and used RadLab to convert to black and white.

35mm, f4, ISO800, 1/30

Be sure to grab those pictures of your kiddos all dressed up by the tree!

I also snapped a few photos of my daughter quickly one weekend as she was going out to play in the snow. As you can see she wasn't looking at me because she was so excited to go play!

Thanks so much for hopping with us today. Please follow along with the hop and when you are done commenting, head back to the Citrus Twist blog and leave a comment there for a chance to win a Christmas Daily kit!

Now that is one awesome prize!

This is my favorite time of year to photograph too! We aren't being very Christmassy this year and it's making me sad that I'm not getting all those Christmas shots... :(
