Technique Tuesday Memory Keepers Studio

Technique Tuesday was kind enough to send me one of their new stamp sets from the Memory Keepers Studio line to use on a project! These sets have matching coordinating steel dies that are perfect for use on your scrapbooking projects. This set is called Family Flair and the circles are so easy to incorporate into your layout.

The coordinating Flair Maker steel die is fun too! Those banners are just too cute.

I created this layout using the stamp set and die, along with the new collection by Gossamer Blue, Gramercy Road. This is an awesome fall collection. I used a few of the circle stamps along with the dies to accent the page.

I used the die to cut pieces from patterned paper and added them to the bottom of one of my photos.

Loving these glitter thicker words from Crate Paper also!

It was so easy to cut these white cardstock circles with the steel die and then use the clear stamp to place the sentiment on. Super simple. I matted them on the pinked circle piece and adhered them to the page with foam adhesive.

Thank you for stopping by today! Check out the shop at Technique Tuesday for more fun stamp and die sets. Have a great week!

Let's Get Digital with Citrus Twist Kits

Hello and happy Monday to you! Today I am sharing another cut file. I was inspired by the addition symbols that were placed throughout the main kit at Citrus Twist and created a file to go with them. You can download this file HERE. This file is sized at 12x12, but as you will see I trimmed mine and used portions of it.

I used the negative spaces in the cut and backed them with various patterned paper. I love the vibrant colors in this kit! So great for fall photos.

If you use this file on a project I would love to see your work! Be sure to post a link in the comments. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Mini Album with ThermOWeb Adhesive

jenchapin mini TOW (1) Hey there! Today I am sharing a mini album that I created using ThermOWeb adhesive and Bella Blvd. I also used a file folder (the black and white striped base) and a file clip from the office supply store. I have been scrapping the heck out of these photos of my son at Halloween last year. I just don't know if I can top the cuteness of this costume for this year! To create this DIY album, I cut a piece from the file folder, then trimmed my paper layers up and stacked them together. I used the Crop-a-Dile to punch through all the layers then added the fastener. jenchapin mini TOW (3) I used 3D Foam Squares for the front of the album since I wanted some dimension. Supertape is also fabulous for chipboard pieces! I layered this page up with die cuts, chipboard and stickers. jenchapin mini TOW (4) I kept this page simple with a journaling card, some stickers and a chipboard piece. The Tape Runner XL is my best friend when doing these types of projects. jenchapin mini TOW (5)   jenchapin mini TOW (6) Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've gotten some good Halloween inspiration for your own projects and I hope you will try this mini album technique soon! Happy scrapping!

Elle's Studio October Kit

Well it's the 10th. And that means it's time for another monthly kit from Elle's Studio! October is filled with lots of orange, teal and grey. I am loving it.

Also available is this darling mini album!

This Halloween mini uses the mini album cover and October kit along with the Halloween ephemera pack.

I created a vellum pocket with sequins for the front, along with using the new Numbers stamp set. This set is awesome! I love that you can stamp the solid image along with the outline separately.

I used an old bingo card for one of the pages and listed out my daughter's costumes over the years.

Here is a peek at all the inside pages. I used the kit along with Sycamore Lane, which is restocked in the shop so be sure to grab some before it sells out!

I also created this layout using a few patterned papers from Sycamore Lane and Good Cheer, along with the kit.

Also new in the shop this month -- printables and digital cut files! You can see in the layout above that I used one of the PNG files on my photo before I printed it.

Remember to grab your kit today only for $9.99. Tomorrow the price goes up to $11.99. Thanks so much for coming by and hope you have a great weekend!

One Little Bird | Loving Fall 4x4 mini album

jenchapin fall mini OLB (2) Sooooooo, I have been hoarding saving this 4x4 gold mini album for quite a few months now. I kept thinking, what is the perfect purpose for it? Then it hit me. I need a fall mini! Fall is my favorite season, mostly for the chili and pumpkin everything and sweatshirts. But I digress. I used a variety of One Little Bird journaling cards and digi elements in this book. Let's get to it. jenchapin fall mini OLB (3) I started the album out by using some transparent letter tiles. I added them to the 2x2 pockets then stitched the edges shut. I think they look really neat over the photo. jenchapin fall mini OLB (4) All of my photos were cropped into a square for this album. I also prefer to print them with a white border, so I do that on my home printer. I have a Canon Pixma and I don't know if I could scrapbook without it! I added a digi brush to this photo along with the year. jenchapin fall mini OLB (5) Another fun thing to include was this leaf. My kids went on a leaf hunt the other night and I pulled this one from their collection. I stapled it onto a journaling card, then slipped it in the page protector. I added some washi over the top. And again another brush on the photo! jenchapin fall mini OLB (6) jenchapin fall mini OLB (7) Of course I had to dedicate a page to my love of fall food. Pumpkin yogurt, caramel apple beer, and chili. The card on the left is One Little Bird for Studio Calico and was in the October PL kit. jenchapin fall mini OLB (8) jenchapin fall mini OLB (9) I went with a navy and gold theme for this page. One of my favorite combinations for fall. The great thing about 4x6 journaling cards is that you can cut them down to 4x4 super easy for an album like this! jenchapin fall mini OLB (10) jenchapin fall mini OLB (11) Pumpkin everything! Did you know that #instapumpkin is an actual hashtag? Lol. I used a 4x4 photo of a pumpkin spice latte for this spread, with a giftcard from Starbucks as well. jenchapin fall mini OLB (12) jenchapin fall mini OLB (13) The next few pages are simple. Just a 4x6 black and white photo with a journaling card on the side. jenchapin fall mini OLB (14) jenchapin fall mini OLB (15) I grew tomatoes on accident and they are just now getting big. This is hilarious because I am actually a terrible gardener so I could never keep them alive intentionally! jenchapin fall mini OLB (16) jenchapin fall mini OLB (18) Last spread! I used another 4x4 fall photo for the right side, and some 2x2 cards for the left. jenchapin fall mini OLB (17) The stamp here is by One Little Bird for Studio Calico. This may be my new favorite stamp ever. I love the little icons, so versatile! jenchapin fall mini OLB (19) For the last page, I used a 4x4 photo with a bit of white space and typed my journaling in Photoshop. Wanted to keep it simple so did not add any embellishments. jenchapin fall mini OLB (1) And that's it! Hope I've inspired you to take out that 4x4 album you've been holding onto and put it to use! I have a few more that I am excited to use as well. So great for a seasonal mini, or even a vacation or special event. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great week.

Paint Dauber Background Tutorial with Citrus Twist

ctk tut jen chapin (2)
Hi there! Today I am sharing a layout background tutorial with you using ink and paint daubers with the October kit from Citrus Twist.

ctk tut jen chapin (3)
I gathered up 5 different colors of daubers. Three are ink daubers and the other two are paint. Doesn't matter what you use, they all work the same for this purpose.

ctk tut jen chapin (4)
Choose a light color of cardstock so that your paint will show. I chose white. I went in rainbow order and overlapped the edges a bit for a blended effect.

ctk tut jen chapin (5)
After this I decided how I wanted to layer up my papers and photos. I used my Silhouette and the Janda Stylish Script font to cut the title in black.

ctk tut jen chapin (7)
And that's it! Easy peasy but really makes a striking page. I am loving the pops of black with the color.

Thanks so much for coming by today! Hope you will try this technique out soon.
