Glitz Design - making a vellum sequin pocket

Hello and happy Friday! Today I'm sharing my take on Sparkle & Shine and showcasing some embellishments. For this layout, I actually made the entire page a vellum pocket with sequins inside! It is really easy to do. First pick out your background patterned paper or cardstock. You'll want to adhere a piece of vellum over top, making sure to only adhere it where it will be hidden behind your photos and embellishments.

Stitch two sides of each of the top and bottom shut and add your sequins or other embellishments. Stitch the remaining side closed. Afterwards, you can shake the layout around to evenly distribute the sequins.

After I added my elements across the page, I thought a scripty black title would look great on this page so I cut one out with my Silhouette.

On this part of the layout I decided to create a cluster of Glitz embellishments. I used stickers, puffy stickers, rhinestones and a few enamel dots along with some of the fabulous Glitz glitter washi.

I hope you will try this technique soon! It's quite simple but adds such a unique look to your page. Have a great weekend!

Slip & Slide fun with Dad :)

Silhouette Tutorial with Citrus Twist Kits

jenchapin tut june
Hi there! Today I'm sharing a quick Silhouette tutorial with you all for making your own backgrounds.  For this layout, I wanted to make a circle grid design and I will show you how to do that with your Silhouette Software.

First, draw a circle. Pick the elliptical icon on the left side of your screen. If you hold your shift key down while dragging, it will be a perfect circle. I sized mine about 2.5"

Next you will want to repeat your design. At the top of the screen pick Object > Replicate > Fill Page.

Now your design is complete! If you don't get enough circles, go ahead and pick 'Undo' and resize your shape a little smaller and try again.

After I adhered my die cut cardstock to the background of the layout, I used my 2" circle punch to embellish each space.

I used the add-on stamp here which was perfect for this photo!

The June icon was perfect for punching out of one of the cards from the Pocket Life kit.

Using a Large Photo - Glitz Design

Hi there! Jen here and today I'm sharing my "Daily Life" project using the new Felicity and Brightside collections. I took this photo of my daughter on the swing and immediately knew I wanted to blow it up large for use on a layout.

I used quite a few cuts from the Bits & Pieces paper as well as some stickers, glitter tape and sequins. I layered them all together and used a bit of foam tape for dimension.

That cute little bow is left over from the All Dolled Up whatnots pack.

The bravo sticker was perfect as my daughter learned how to swing herself. I am loving accenting with sequins lately too.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll try a large photo on one of your layouts soon. They are so fun!

Layout Supplies:

Shh, I used a polka dot PL card from the April kits, I've been hoarding it! :)
