Watercoloring with Crate Paper Craft Market

Hello friends! Jen Chapin here today and I am sharing a card with you using some water coloring and the new Craft Market collection. I chose this neutral outline patterned paper as it just begs to be water colored. I gathered my supplies, just a water color palette I picked up from the craft store and a water brush.

I worked through the pattern, adding colors as I went. I chose green for the leaves, then yellow, pink and blue for the florals.

Afterwards, I let the paper dry completely before adhering it to the card base.

I gathered a few bits and pieces of ephemera, tags and one of the chipboard hoops from the collection to decorate my card.

I knew I wanted to add lots of texture and dimension, so I used some foam adhesive squares on the wood hoop as well as the embellishment inside the hoop. And here's a fun fact - that twine that you see in the background actually belonged to my great grandmother. I love to use it on projects as it gives a great vintage feel.

Here is the finished card! As you can see, I have also added some machine stitching, as well as a vintage stick pin and some stickers from the collection. I love the way it turned out, so bright and colorful.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you get your hands on this collection soon - the colors and patterns are just fabulous. It is vintage with a modern twist. Word on the street is that it is finally  making it's way to stores! If you make a project please link us up in the comments so we can check it out. Have a great day!

Another Year with Bella Blvd!

I am so excited to announce that I am going to be spending another year with Bella Blvd! I have been so lucky to be a part of their team in the past and in fact, this will be my third year with Stephanie and Laura and the rest of the crew. Their products fit so well with my scrapbooking style and I am excited to get started on projects for the blog.

Be sure to stop by the blog and congratulate the rest of these ladies. It's going to be a great year!

I thought I would share the projects I made for CHA this winter with the new Bella Blvd collections. This layout highlights the new enamels. They come in a rainbow of colors and there are both dots and arrows/hearts/stars.

The new Color Chaos collection comes in a rainbow of colors as well!

Another new embellishment this year are the felt bows. They are the perfect size and come in a rainbow of colors as well!

New transparencies are here as well! I really love these and love that they come in every color. There are even silver and gold!

The new Star Student collection is perfect for those back to school layouts.

And another with Star Student, this one highlights one of the transparencies in that collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great week.

Elle's Studio March Kit Reveal!

Here is the March kit from Elle's Studio! Isn't it fab? I love the color scheme this month, it makes me happy!

I created this layout using the kit along with a few elements from the new Cienna collection. I was inspired by all the bright colors and decided to do a color blocking technique across the page. I love how it turned out!

I also used the new Daily Grind printable for a few of the elements too. So good!

The next project I created was this fun rainbow themed hello card using the Hello stamp from Cienna. I stamped on white cardstock then added coordinating enamel dots.

Such a fun technique!

The new Cienna collection is now available! Grab it while you can, it's even more awesome in person!

Thanks so much for stopping by, you can pick up your kit today only for $9.99. Tomorrow the price goes up to $11.99. Have a great day!
