Sketch Inspiration with Crate Paper Journey

Hello! Today I am sharing a layout and a sketch with you using Crate Paper's Journey collection, so I hope you will find some inspiration to start creating.

Here is the layout I created based on the sketch. I used one 3x4 photo and a large title made with the cardstock letters from Crate's Journey collection. I also used embellishments from the collection - vellum, chipboard and puffy star stickers.

I printed my journaling out on white cardstock so it would blend into the background of the layout.

For the top portion of the layout, I used a journaling card cut from CP Journey patterned paper, as well as a few vellum pieces from the ephemera pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! If you create a layout with the sketch I would love to see your work. Please link me up in the comments!

Bella Blvd and Craftwell eBrush Team Up

Hey there! Bella Blvd is doing a week long team up with Craftwell! Craftwell was kind enough to send us the eBrush system, as well as some Tombow adhesive and brush markers. I had so much fun playing with everything, and Bella's Just Add Color products are perfect to use with it!

The machine is super easy to set up. Just take it out of the box, connect the hose and plug it in. It comes with a few different sized adapters so that you can use any marker with it. All you have to do is connect the adapter and push your marker in. Super quick!

After that, just turn it on and spray. For my first layout, I used a sheet of patterned paper from the Just Add Color collection and did a rainbow pattern down the page using different markers.

After that, I die cut a large heart from a sheet of white cardstock and adhered over the sprayed pattern. I stitched around the heart with my sewing machine and started adding embellishments to my page. I also used the markers to color in part of the title! Super fun to make, and Bella's chipboard coordinated perfectly to complete the layout.

For my second page, I used the markers with the eBrush to color some white Bella chipboard alphas for my title. The letters took the marker perfectly as they are a matte finish. I also used a rainbow theme for these, using a different color of marker for each letter.

I also thought the Clear Cuts confetti transparencies would pair perfect with the colorful title and photo. I layered several different colors for a varied effect. After adding some chipboard and journaling, this simple layout was complete!

I hope you have enjoyed learning more about the eBrush system today, it really is super easy and fun to use! Thanks for stopping by today!

Crate Paper Summer Clipboards

Hello there! Is it summer yet where you are? Here in the Midwest, temps have been up in the 80s and we are taking advantage of it! Today I am going to share a few embellished summer-themed clipboards that I created with the Poolside collection.

I made one pink for my daughter, and the other blue for my son. As you can see, there are plenty of paper and embellishment options in the collection for either color!

For the pink clipboard, I layered some patterned paper along with my photo, then added some gold acetate, a heart clip, and some other assorted chipboard and wood veneers.

The gold acetate comes on a 12x12 sheet so you can cut what you need and save the rest for later! I'm so glad there are Popsicle embellishments, my kids are in love with them :)

For the blue clipboard, I used some more patterned paper, along with a few cardstock embellishments from the ephemera pack. I also used one of the word Thickers from the collection - my favorite!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I think I will display these somewhere on my mantel to keep us in the summer spirit. Have a great day!

Crate Paper Poolside

Hello and welcome! Today I am sharing a summer-themed layout with you using Crate Paper's new Poolside collection as well as the fabulous wood veneer heart frame from Maggie Holmes' Craft Market collection. I thought it would be a great compliment to my "summer love" title.

I started by adhering the heart frame to a piece of patterned paper with wet adhesive. After it was dry, I trimmed around the edges and adhered the heart to a piece of black and white striped paper from Poolside. I set to work embellishing the different spaces in the frame, first with the gold sequin 'Love" -- what a great embellishment to use as a title!

I had this picture of my son which I am just in love with. I added a gold clip and used foam adhesive to adhere the picture to the layout. I kept my journaling simple with a few typed strips.

I love how this layout turned out -- lots of color, texture and dimension -- my favorite! Have you been mixing and matching Crate Paper's collections?

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Have a great one!
