{hello neighbor}

So I'm excited about this weekend's upcoming card class! I've been planning out the lunch menu and cutting and prepping....still a lot to do! Above is one of the cards we'll be making. It uses 2 SAB sets - Vintage Labels and Good Neighbors. SAB runs until March 31, so there isn't much time left!

For the base of this card, I used Rose Red, and I also used the SAB Designer paper pad - Welcome Neighbor.

Hope you have a great day today!

{Kristen's graduating!}

My sister went back to school for her veterinary technician certification, so I thought a dog card would be appropriate. :) She has a golden retriever, so I thought this card could represent her Duke!
 I used SU cardstock, ink and stamps, and the patterned paper is by DCWV.
 Here she is! I'm so proud of her!! We celebrated with a family dinner and had lots of yummy Mexican food. Hope you have a great week!

{card class}

I am diving head first again into the world of card classes! During pregnancy and while Keira has been so little, I have taken a break from card classes, but I have kept up my SU demonstratorship. Next weekend on March 27th, I'll be having a card class at my house. We'll be making 5 cards and having lunch...I'm so excited! :) Adam will be taking Keira over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a few hours while we craft.

Above is one of the cards we'll be making. I used the hearts from the I {Heart} Hearts set, along with the sentiment from Trendy Trees. I just love this wide striped grosgrain ribbon too.....I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the roll at how soft and pliable it is! You could definitely use it to tie a bow. For this card though, I just used some string to tie a tiny little bow on.

Thanks for stopping by!

{long time no post!}

Well what a busy month I have had! Keira is almost walking now....imagine that! She is already crawling around a million miles an hour and pulling herself up on anything and everything, so we have really had to baby proof. She is such a little cutie though, and has a personality to match.

This month's stamping challenge that I posted over at ch{all}enge masters was detailed cutting. I have heard it called "fussy cutting" but I think that is more of a quilting term -- can can anyone confirm?

For this card, I used a Kraft cardstock base layered with Elegant Eggplant. I stamped the background with the damask stamp from SU's Friends 24-7. I just love that set! The flower stamp is from that set also. I used the sympathy sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. All products used are SU.

Hope you have a great week! Our weekend was busy, but spent mostly with family, so that's always nice. :) Hope to be back sometime this week!
