Reflections release with Sweet Stamp Shop

Good morning! Today I have a layout to share with a new kit from Sweet Stamp Shop. This kit is called Reflections and it is full of awesome cards, buttons and a stamp set.

Here is a look at the bonus card in the kit. Love this saying!

I decided to create a layout about my daughter's first day of Kindergarten. I thought the cards were perfect for documenting the right now and the colors worked fabulously with her outfit too!

This card is perfect, love the follow your heart saying.

I used my circle punch with some of the colored cards to make my own embellishments that were popped up on foam dots.

This card came in 4x6 but I trimmed it down to fit on my layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Get your Reflections kit today. They are only $15.95! Such a great deal for all that is packed in there.

Have a good Tuesday :)

Sweet Stamp Shop - Summertime Lovin pocket pages

Hi there and happy Monday! Today I am sharing a few more projects with the Ahoy kit from Sweet Stamp Shop.

This kit is $15.95 and is packed with journaling cards, wood veneer and a stamp set.

I had pictures of my kids outside playing and knew this kit would be perfect to show them off.

I used the Popsicle stamp and stamped repeatedly on a 3x4 piece of white cardstock, then used watercolors and a waterbrush to color them in.

Here's the backside of that spread.

I used a similar technique with the Summertime stamp but only colored one word in the middle with my watercolors.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great week.

{Pocket Scrapping and a good-bye to Glitz Design}

Hey there! Today I am sharing a pocket style scrapbook page for my PL album. I have had fun completing my album this year, and while I am not "caught up" by any stretch, I am happy with what I do have! I had a few weeks that needed a filler page in between and this is it!

I love adding enamel dots to my PL pages but I usually add the dots on the outside of the protector to prevent any glare that the dimension might cause.

The camera 3x4 card is fabulous and paired wonderfully with a few elements from the Black & White collection.

I also knew I had to add the Hooray card and it paired wonderfully with some sequins. You will also notice that my date stamp is a favorite in my PL pages!

Today I am also announcing that I am leaving the Glitz team. Some of you may know that I am a nurse and am going back to school to pursue my master's degree and that means cutting back quite a bit on scrapbooking! I have to thank Laura, Lea and all the Glitz Girls for being so awesome; I have loved working with you. And thank you to all the Glitz blog readers for your sweet comments! I truly appreciate every single one.

Sweet Stamp Shop - On Cherry Street Kit

Hey there! I am super excited to be guest designing for Sweet Stamp Shop for the months of August and September for their new On Cherry Street kits! These kits are awesome and include a mix of PL sized cards, a stamp set and embellishments. This month I am working with the Ahoy! kit.

Here's a closer look at the stamp. Isn't it darling?

Here's the page I created with this kit. I love the blue and red color scheme, it went perfectly with some lake photos I had to scrap.

I added the anchor piece of wood veneer from the kit along with some sequins to a pocket and stitched it closed.

The sentiments in the stamp set were perfect for stamping on photos.

The dot wood veneers are super cute too! I added these on the outside of the page protector with glue dots.

And that's all for today! Be sure to pick up your kit asap, it's a great one! And leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a kit of your very own! Nicole will be choosing one lucky winner from one of the design team's blogs.

Happy Monday!

Let's Get Digital with Citrus Twist Kits

jenchapin ctk adelyn (1)
Hey there and happy Monday to you! Today I'm sharing a layout I created with the August kits at Citrus Twist, along with a free cut file. I was inspired by the heart wood veneers in the main kit this month, so I created a heart background for my layout. You can download that cut for free HERE.

I used a ton of foam squares to pop the die cut off the background of the page. It is subtle, but it does give the layout great dimension. I used a few pieces from the Pocket Life kit, as well as those gorgeous gold thickers from the main.

The Heidi Swapp word stickers in the kit this month are great. I used quite a few on my projects! My other favorite item were the Crate Paper Notes and Things embellishments included in the Summer Dreaming add-on. Those butterflies are just gorgeous.

I have one more layout to share with you. This one was created using a large photo (8x10).

I started with this photo of my kids playing in the backyard. I knew as soon as I took it that I wanted to use it for an enlargement on one of my projects. After adhering the photo to patterned paper, I used the rest of the embellishments from the main kit and Summer Dreaming add on to layer up below.

I also added some enamel dots to the photo because, hello, I cannot make a page without them.

More layering and how awesome is that exclusive book paper garland!

Elle's Studio - August Kit!

Hi peeps! Today I am excited to be sharing the August Limited Edition kit from Elle's Studio! This kit is available today for $9.99, tomorrow the price goes up to $11.99 so grab one quick like. There are lots of cool transparency elements in the kit.

Here's a look at the layout I made. I used one of the silhouette cuts to start with this layout, then printed my photos small and attached them to the page with a mix of embellishments from the kit.

Cork shapes and cut files also available. Can't wait to start scrapping first day of school photos!

I also totally fell in love with this Hello August 4x6 card. I would seriously get the kit just for this card, not kidding.

Cute transparent elements work really well on white cardstock.

I backed the negative space with patterned paper from the Shine collection. Worked perfectly!

Also today August 10th there is a free shipping special. When you purchase the SHINE BUNDLE your entire order will ship for free, today only! The coupon code is SHINE and you will need to have the Shine bundle in your cart for the code to work.

Thanks again for coming by! Have a great Sunday.

Sparkle & Shine with Glitz Design

Hi friends! Today I am sharing a "sparkle and shine" project with you - one where we highlight Glitz's awesome embellishments. I chose to feature the new glitter washi tape today. It is really fabulous. You should definitely get some if you haven't seen it yet! It's a very fine glitter that is embedded in the tape and doesn't flake off at all.

I started out by using both colors of tape to cover a piece of white cardstock. Make sure to line up the tapes edge to edge so you don't see any white showing through.

Use a punch to punch shapes out of the glitter cardstock. Funny story - originally I was going to just use the stars on my layout, but once I saw how great the negative space looked I decided to use that too!

As you can see I backed the negative spaces with some patterned paper from the 6x6 pads.

I love using my typewriter for my journaling and cutting out the strips to add to my layout. Also -- the Friday washi was perfect for this layout because it actually happened on a Friday! I love when that happens.

And that's it for today! Hopefully you will try this technique out soon! It works with any type of washi. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend :)

Here We Go layout supplies:

Glitz Design "Brightside" papers - Chunky Chevron, 6x6 paper pad
Glitz Design "Brightside" 12x12 Alphas and Accents Sticker sheet
Glitz Design "Brightside" Pink Glitter and Silver Glitter Washi
Glitz Design "77" paper - Stripe
Glitz Design "77" - Friday Washi

Guest Designing at The Cut Shoppe

Happy Monday! Today I am excited to be guest designing for The Cut Shoppe. Ashley Horton has some super fab cuts over in her shop so be sure to check it out! For this page I used "It All Adds Up".

I used my Silhouette to cut the file with kraft cardstock. I backed the negative spaces with a variety of patterned papers then used foam adhesive to pop the layer off the page.

I also added a few other punched embellishments, shaped washi from Studio Calico and enamel dots.

I used my computer to print journaling with a typewriter font (The Velvet Vixen) and cut strips and adhered them to my layout.

Thanks for stopping by today and thanks again Ashley for having me!

Citrus Twist Kits - Kit Love

Hello and welcome to this month's Kit Love post! I'm going to share a few photos of my kits and how I organize them when they first come in the mail. I found this white bowl at Salvation Army one day while thrifting and it is perfect to hold embellishments. These are Crate Paper and they are gorgeous! I find that if I get all my products out of their packaging I am more likely to use them.

I put my wood veneer in this small yellow bowl from Anthropologie. Other miscellaneous embellishments went into a ceramic egg container I picked up at Michaels.

Check out the wood veneers this month! And the paper garland and gold paper clips. So awesome. I also picked up this new Shimelle date stamp in the CTK shop.

Lots of enamel dots this month which makes me happy! I can't seem to make a page without them.

Other embellishments I like to lay out to get a good look at them.

Here is a look at the Pocket Life cards included in the PL kit. I am loving the colors this month!!

The PL kit also includes a 12x12 paper with cards which I went ahead and cut apart.

Another tip to share -- this one actually came from Trina but it was such a great idea that I had to use it too! I am using a 6x8 Simple Stories binder to hold all my Citrus Twist stamps. They fit perfectly in the 3x4 pockets.

I wanted to share a few pages out of the Studio Calico Handbook that I started with the kits -- you can pick up this awesome album along with extra page protectors in the CTK shop.

I am loving that black and white chevron card from the PL kit.

Perfect cards this month to document your date nights!

That's it for today! Hopefully you are excited to get your August kits and get to scrapping. Have a great weekend :)
